Eyeball Robot in Cinema 4D

Today at work I needed a break from the daily server shit. So I decided to model a quick little eyeball robot. Since I have the GreyScaleGorilla light kit and texture kit, I really don’t worry too much about shaders and materials. I can focus on my idea and projecting it the best. This little robot just sort of evolved. I really had no direction for the model. I’m trying to get back into my daily postings, hopefully you’ll be seeing more work. Also, I’m going to be updating the Title Floor generator since The Pixel Lab recently did a review on it. Enjoy!

Text in a Room

Thanks to Nick’s great way to use an iPhone, 360 Panorama, and Cinema 4D, I was able to put text into my kids play room, in 30 minutes. This process was so simple. Basically, use your iPhone and grab a 360 of your room. Then take a photo with your iPhone. Finally, use cinema 4d to composite the 2 together. You use a background, Sky (or HDRI Studio from GreyScaleGorilla.com), a disc to capture the shadows from your object or text in place in the room. Make sure everything is lined up with the floor, as in the right perspective. And then render that bitch out. Finally to make it even sexier, throw it into Photoshop and add some noise to match the shitty image quality of the iPhone 4 in a low light situations. And sit back and smile.
